Live one-on-one sessions online, plus interactive videos, spaced-repetition flashcards, and question sets in our programs.
Step 4: Study Hall (medical programs)
Students in our medical programs, including Board Exam Tutoring, also get Study Hall: a virtual study room and weekly office hours, so you never study alone.

Checkpoint · 2:14
In the PICO framework, what does the “C” stand for?

- Confounder
- Clinical setting
Interactive video lessons
Videos pause at key moments and ask you a question, so you learn actively instead of just watching.
Sample question · Biochemistry
Statins lower LDL cholesterol primarily by inhibiting which enzyme?
- AAcetyl-CoA carboxylase
- BHMG-CoA reductase
- CLipoprotein lipase
- DSqualene synthase
Correct · Explanation
HMG-CoA reductase catalyzes the rate-limiting step of cholesterol synthesis (HMG-CoA → mevalonate). Statins competitively inhibit it; lower hepatocyte cholesterol up-regulates LDL receptors, which pulls more LDL out of the blood.

Who is ProMed United for?
Students on five paths: high schoolers preparing for the SAT or ACT and applying to college, premeds and medical school applicants, pre-dental students, college students heading to graduate school, and MD and DO students, international medical graduates, and residency applicants.
Who will I actually work with?
We pair you with a tutor or mentor from the ProMed United team, matched to your goals, exam, and schedule. Every program is designed by Dr. Dave, DO, MBS, a physician with 75+ peer-reviewed publications. Your first paid session with your matched tutor is your Good Fit Consult. If you're not happy after your first paid session for any reason, ask within 7 days of that session for a full refund of that session only, not the package. The Good Fit Guarantee applies to Tutoring packages.
Are sessions online?
Yes. All one-on-one sessions, Study Hall, and office hours happen live over video, so you can join from anywhere. Sessions are scheduled around your classes, rotations, or work.
How do I know which program is right for me?
Use the “Where are you right now?” picker on this page, or book a free consult. We will recommend the program that fits your stage and goals, and if none of them fit, we will tell you.
Can I try something before I commit?
Yes. Book a free consult if you'd like to talk it through first. Med School App Prep, Residency App Prep, and Research Mentorship also have a free lesson with an interactive video, flashcards, and practice questions, and anyone can use our free COMLEX and USMLE high-yield checklists.
How much does it cost, and how can I pay?
Every price is on the Pricing page, grouped by path. You buy online through one secure checkout, by bank (ACH), the lowest price, or by card, about 3% more. Klarna (subject to approval) is offered at checkout when the Klarna total is $10,000 or less. A free consult before you buy is optional. A product with no "Add to cart" button is bought through a free consult instead; a Prep Book without one is requested through our contact form. Other ways to pay (PayPal, a flexible payment plan) are listed on the Pricing page too.
Do you guarantee a score, admission, or a match?
No, and no one ethically can. Our programs are designed to help you prepare thoroughly, make better decisions, and present yourself at your best. Your effort and many outside factors shape the outcome.
Are you affiliated with the organizations behind these exams?
No. ProMed United is an independent educational company, not affiliated with the AAMC, NBME, NBOME, NRMP, the College Board, ACT Education Corp., the American Dental Association, or ETS. Exam names are used only to describe what we help you prepare for.
