Terms of Service

Last updated October 11, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to your use of the ProMed United website and to the tutoring, mentorship programs, Study Hall, and digital products we offer (together, the “Services”). By using the Services or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms. If you are buying for a student under 18, you agree to them on the student's behalf.

1. Educational services

ProMed United provides independent educational services: one-on-one tutoring, structured mentorship programs, live study sessions, and self-paced digital products such as courses, flashcards, and practice questions. Program details, schedules, and what is included are described on each program page and in your enrollment materials. After a free consult, tutoring and mentorship students are paired with a tutor or mentor from our team.

2. No guarantees

We work hard to help every student succeed, but outcomes depend on many things outside our control, including each student's effort, preparation, and the decisions of schools, testing organizations, journals, and residency programs. We do not guarantee admission to any school or program, any exam score, a residency match, publication of any manuscript, or a letter of recommendation. Any letter of recommendation is written at Dr. Dave's sole discretion based on published program criteria.

3. Not medical advice

Our content about medicine and science is for education and exam preparation only. It is not medical advice and must not be used to diagnose or treat any person. Using the Services does not create a doctor–patient relationship. ProMed Telehealth is not yet accepting patients, and joining its waitlist does not create a doctor–patient relationship. If you have a medical emergency, call 911.

4. No affiliation; trademarks

ProMed United is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), the National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME), the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners (NBOME), the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP), the Federation of State Medical Boards (FSMB), the College Board, or ACT Education Corp.

USMLE® is a joint program of the FSMB and NBME. COMLEX-USA® is a registered trademark of the NBOME. MCAT® and ERAS® are registered trademarks of the AAMC. NRMP® is a registered trademark of the National Resident Matching Program. SAT® is a registered trademark of the College Board, and ACT® is a registered trademark of ACT Education Corp. Neither is affiliated with or endorses ProMed United. These names are used only to describe the exams and processes our Services help students prepare for.

5. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18, or have a parent or guardian's permission, to purchase or enroll. Tutoring for students under 18, such as SAT & ACT Tutoring, is arranged and purchased by a parent or guardian. You are responsible for keeping any login details or access links private and for the accuracy of the information you give us.

6. Digital products and access

When you buy a digital product, we grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use it for your own studying during the access period stated at purchase (for example, Virtual Intern Year includes 12 months of access).

  • No account or access sharing. Access is for the purchaser only and may not be shared, resold, or transferred.
  • Do not copy, download in bulk, scrape, record, redistribute, or publish our questions, explanations, videos, flashcards, or other materials.
  • We may suspend or end access, without refund, if we reasonably believe these rules have been broken.

7. Payments

Prices are listed in U.S. dollars and may change at any time; changes do not affect purchases already made. Payments are processed securely by our payment providers (such as Stripe or PayPal). If you choose a payment plan, you agree to make each payment when due, and we may pause services while a payment is overdue. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy: all sales are final except where a refund is required by law, and except for the Good Fit Guarantee on Custom Tutoring packages. Your first session with your matched tutor is your Good Fit Consult. If you're not happy after that first session for any reason, we refund that first session in full. The Good Fit Guarantee does not apply to any other program or product.

8. Scheduling one-on-one sessions

Sessions are scheduled by mutual agreement. Rescheduling and cancellation rules, including the notice we ask for, are described in our Refund Policy. Sessions included in a program must be used within the program's term unless we agree otherwise in writing.

9. Academic integrity

We teach, coach, review, and give feedback. We do not write applications, personal statements, essays, papers, or manuscripts for students, and we do not complete coursework or exams on anyone's behalf. Research Accelerator mentees do their own research and writing and are responsible for their own work, its accuracy, and authorship decisions, following the authorship standards of the journals they submit to. You agree to follow the honor codes and policies of your school, testing organizations, and programs.

10. Study Hall and community conduct

Be respectful. Harassment, hate speech, spam, sharing others' personal information, and recording or screenshotting other members are not allowed. Study Hall links are for enrolled students only and may not be shared. We may remove anyone from Study Hall or other community spaces to keep them safe and focused.

11. Intellectual property

All content on the site and in our Services, including text, questions, explanations, videos, flashcards, graphics, logos, and the ProMed United name, is owned by ProMed United or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark law. Except for the personal license above, no rights are granted to you. Work you create yourself, such as your essays, notes, and manuscripts, remains yours.

12. Third-party services

We use third-party tools for scheduling, payments, video calls, and analytics. Your use of those tools is also subject to their terms, and we are not responsible for their availability or practices.

13. Disclaimers

We aim for accurate, current content, but medicine and exams change. The Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ProMed United and its owners, staff, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost opportunities, admissions, scores, matches, or profits. Our total liability for any claim related to the Services is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in question in the 12 months before the claim arose. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

15. Indemnity

You agree to cover reasonable losses and costs (including attorneys' fees) that result from your misuse of the Services or your violation of these Terms.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in New York, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Before filing any claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve it informally.

17. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted here with a new date. Continuing to use the Services after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
