This Privacy Policy explains how ProMed United (“ProMed United,” “we,” or “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit our website, contact us, purchase or use our programs and digital products, join Study Hall, or join the ProMed Telehealth waitlist. We wrote it in plain English. If anything is unclear, email us at support@promedunited.com.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Forms. When you request a free consult, apply to a program, send a message, or ask a question, we collect what you enter, such as your name, email, phone number (optional), stage of training, school, goals, and message.
- ProMed Telehealth waitlist. We collect only your name, email, and state. The waitlist does not ask for, and we do not want, any health information.
- Purchases. Payments are processed by Stripe (and PayPal, where offered). We receive details such as the purchaser's name, email, the product purchased, the amount, and whether the payment succeeded. We never see or store your full card number.
- Scheduling and sessions. If you book through our scheduling tool (Calendly), we receive the details you provide when booking. Live sessions and Study Hall take place on third-party video platforms, which have their own privacy policies. We do not record Study Hall.
Information collected automatically
- Usage information. Like most websites, our hosting provider and analytics tools receive standard technical information such as your browser type, device type, pages visited, referring page, and approximate location based on your IP address.
- Essential cookies. The site does not need cookies for its basic features. If we add a cookie that the site needs to work, we will use it only for that purpose.
- Analytics and advertising cookies. When enabled, we use Google Analytics 4, Google Ads conversion tracking, and the Meta Pixel. These tools use cookies and similar technologies to help us understand how the site is used and whether our ads are working.
- Study progress on your device. Our learning tools (flashcards, practice questions, the high-yield checklists, and the focus timer) save your progress in your browser's local storage. This information stays on your device and is not sent to us. Clearing your browser data erases it.
2. How we use information
- To respond to your questions, schedule free consults, and match students with a tutor or mentor.
- To review applications and provide tutoring, mentorship, and digital products you purchase.
- To process payments, grant and manage access, and send receipts and service messages.
- To send occasional updates about our programs, if you opt in or as permitted by law. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To understand how our website is used, improve it, and measure our advertising.
- To prevent fraud and abuse, enforce our terms, and comply with the law.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us run ProMed United, and only so they can do that work for us. These include website hosting (Vercel), payment processing (Stripe, PayPal), scheduling (Calendly), form and email delivery, video conferencing, and, when enabled, analytics and advertising measurement (Google and Meta).
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of our students and others, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of our business, in which case this policy will continue to apply.
When advertising cookies are enabled, Google and Meta may use information collected by their cookies to measure and improve ads. You can limit this in your browser's cookie settings, through Google's Ad Settings and Meta's ad preferences, or by contacting us.
4. Children's privacy
Tutoring for students under 18, such as SAT & ACT Tutoring, is arranged by a parent or guardian, who provides the contact and payment information. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without a parent or guardian's consent. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information without that consent, please contact us at support@promedunited.com and we will delete it.
Students under 18 should use our programs, tutoring, and Study Hall only with a parent or guardian's permission. Study Hall is for students in eligible programs and is not part of SAT & ACT Tutoring.
5. ProMed Telehealth waitlist
ProMed Telehealth is not yet accepting patients. The waitlist collects only your name, email, and state so we can send you launch updates, including which states we will serve. It does not collect health information, and joining it does not create a doctor–patient relationship. When ProMed Telehealth launches, it will have its own privacy notice describing how health information is protected.
6. Phone calls and text reminders
If you call our booking line, you will speak with an AI assistant, and the call is recorded and transcribed by our voice and phone service providers so we can book your consult, follow up on messages, and improve the service. The assistant tells you this at the start of the call; if you prefer not to be recorded, you can hang up and email us or book online instead. Please don't share health or payment information on a call. We send text messages only when you ask for a reminder about a consult you booked, and you can reply STOP at any time to opt out. We don't use phone numbers from calls for marketing.
7. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, such as providing services, keeping business and tax records, and resolving disputes. When we no longer need it, we delete or de-identify it.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, and we rely on established providers for payments and hosting. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your choices and rights
- Email. Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. We will still send service messages about purchases and sessions.
- Cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some features may not work as well without them.
- Access, correction, and deletion. You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it.
- State privacy rights. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state law, such as the right to know what we collect, to access, correct, or delete it, to opt out of targeted advertising or any “sale” of personal information, and to not be treated differently for exercising your rights. If we deny a request, you may be able to appeal by replying to our decision.
To make a request, email support@promedunited.com. We will verify your identity before acting on a request and respond within the time required by law. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows.
10. Links to other sites
Our site links to other websites and services, such as Skyline Prep (our SHSAT companion site), Calendly, and payment pages. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here and update the date at the top. If changes are significant, we will take reasonable steps to let you know.
